Investigation of the equality constraint effect on the reduction of the rotational ambiguity in three-component system using a novel grid search method

The obtained results by soft modeling multivariate curve resolution methods often are not unique and are questionable because of rotational ambiguity. It means a range of feasible solutions equally fit experimental data and fulfill the constraints. Regarding to chemometric literature, a survey of useful constraints for the reduction of the rotational ambiguity is a big challenge for chemometrician. It is worth to study the effects of applying constraints on the reduction of rotational ambiguity, since it can help us to choose the useful constraints in order to impose in multivariate curve resolution methods for analyzing data sets. In this work, we have investigated the effect of equality constraint on decreasing of the rotational ambiguity. For calculation of all feasible solutions corresponding with known spectrum, a novel systematic grid search method based on Species-based Particle Swarm Optimization is proposed in a three-component system.

Let L be a restricted Lie algebra over a field of positive characteristic. We prove that the restricted enveloping algebra of L is a principal ideal ring if and only if L is an extension of a finite-dimensional torus by a cyclic restricted Lie algebra.     

Al(HSO4)3 and Al2O3-SO3H as Efficient Catalysts for Modified Preparation of 3,4-Dihydropyrimidin-2 (1H)-ones/thiones

An environmentally friendly procedure for the preparation of dihydropyrimidinone derivatives or their sulfur analogues under thermal solvent-free conditions in the presence of aluminium hydrogen sulfate [Al(HSO₄)₃] and alumina sulfuric acid (Al₂O₃-SO₃H) as heterogeneous catalysts was developed.     

Design and characterization of Dendrimer of MNPs as a novel,heterogeneous and reusable nanomagnetic organometallic catalyst for one‐pot synthesis of hydroxyl naphthalene‐1,4‐dione derivatives under solvent‐free conditions

A novel super acidic magnetic nanoparticle as catalyst was successfully synthesized. The preparation of this dendrimer sulfonic acid functionalized γ‐Fe₂O₃ magnetic core‐shell silica nanoparticles as a new recoverable and heterogeneous nanocatalyst was described. The new catalyst was characterized using various techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrum (EDS), and thermo gravimetric synthesis (TGA). Moreover, we have examined the catalytic activity of the catalyst for one‐pot, efficient and facile synthesis of 2‐hydroxy‐1,4‐naphthoquinone derivatives via a three‐component condensation reaction of 2‐hydroxynaphthalene‐1,4‐dione, aromatic aldehydes and aniline derivatives. High yields of products, short reaction times, waste‐free, mild, ambient and solvent‐free reaction conditions are advantages of this protocol. Also, the catalyst can be easily recovered by an external magnetic and reused several times without significant loss of its catalytic activity.     

Synthesis of new enantiomerically pure spirooxindolopyrrolizidines via a three-component asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of azomethine ylides derived from isatin

An efficient, one-pot, three-component procedure for the synthesis of a small library of new chiral spirooxindolopyrrolizidines with high regio-, diastereo-, and enantioselectivity, from the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of azomethine ylides and optically active cinnamoyl oxazolidinone is described. The process occurs at room temperature in aqueous ethanol as a green solvent and in the absence of any Lewis acids. The oxazolidinone chiral auxiliary is removed in a non-destructive manner. The reaction mechanism is discussed on the basis of the assignment of the absolute configuration of the cycloadducts, and on theoretical calculations.     

Catalyst-free,aqueous and highly diastereoselective synthesis of new 5-substituted 1H-tetrazoles via a multi-component domino Knoevenagel condensation/1,3 dipolar cycloaddition reaction

An approach for the synthesis of new 5-substituted-tetrazoles via multi-component domino Knoevenagel condensation/1,3 dipolar cycloaddition reaction of carbonyl compounds, malononitrile and sodium azide in water without assistance of any catalyst has been reported. This general protocol provides a wide variety of 5-substituted 1H-tetrazoles in good yields under mild reaction conditions.     

The effect of 2.1 T static magnetic field on astrocyte viability and morphology

The viability and a number of morphological properties of in situ astrocytes of rat spinal cord cultures including changes in surface area and migration of both cell body and nucleus were investigated at magnetic field intensities comparable to those currently used for magnetic resonance imaging. Viability of rat spinal astrocytes was studied after up to 72 hours of 2.1T static magnetic field exposure. Surface areas and two-dimensional centroids of both soma and nucleus after 2 hours of magnetic field exposure were determined and compared with those of the same cells before magnetic field exposure. Cell membrane ruffling was quantified using fractal analysis.     

Efficient Chemoselective Mild Deprotection of S,Sand S,O-Acetals and Ketals with Electrophilic Halogens

A novel and simple method for the chemoselective deprotection of S,S- and S,O-acetals and ketals in the presence of their O,O-analogs with electrophilic halogens to their corresponding carbonyl compounds is described using N-bromosuccinimide, N-chlorosuccinimide, 2,4,4,6-tetrabromo-2,5-cyclohexen-1-one, trichlorocyanuric acid, or molecular bromine in aqueous acetonitrile. The use of these reagents in the presence of hydrated silica gel provide efficient, novel, and mild procedures for the deprotection of cyclic and acyclic O,O-, S,S-, and S,O-acetals and ketals in excellent yields in short reaction times.
